 America Jet at SLN is proud to be the contract holder for supplying support services to our friends in the United States Armed Services, Federal and State civil services as well as some foreign military branches.

America Jet is able to provide services for virtually all military aircraft. We often see T-38’s, T-1’s, C-9’s, T-45’s and A-10’s on our tarmac. With our proximity to the Smoky Hill ANG Bomb Range, we also are visited by F-16’s, F-18’s, Alpha Jets and other war birds. With Ft. Riley Army Airfield located only 50 miles to the East, we service many Blackhawk, Apache and C-47 Chinook helicopters as well. It is always a treat to see the large military aircraft stop in. We have supported the likes of military 747’s, C-130’s, KC-135’s, 707’s and other heavy military aircraft. 

America Jet has a vast array of specialized ground service equipment that enables us to provide excellent support for military aircraft. Such equipment includes airstarts, generators (GPU’s), ladders, tow bars and LOX (when requested in advance).

With ample ramp space, hangar facilities and office/meeting rooms available, America Jet is able to host large contingencies doing longer-term detachment training activities, in addition to the many transient military aircraft stopping in Salina for a quick turn. The Kansas Army National Guard’s Nickell Barracks Training Center located adjacent to America Jet can accommodate hundreds of military personnel, as well as thousands of hotel rooms available in Salina to house support staff. The airport maintains a professionally staffed ARFF team and has many buildings available for your needs. In addition, there are certified weapons storage bunkers located on-field for storing your ordnance. The Salina airport is really a “one-stop shop” for most any military aviation training needs.
